Fantastic Flash Bash

09/03/2022

I had a fantastic time at the Flash Bash at the Scottish Arts Club on February 19th to celebrate the 2022 Edinburgh Award for Flash Fiction. Many thanks to all those involved in the reading, judging and organising of the event. It really was a special evening and meeting all the other shortlisted writers and getting to hear them read their work was lovely. I think the photo below will give you a good idea of what a cheery evening it was.

Congratulations to Gail Anderson for her winning story, ‘A Letter from the Home Office’. You can read it, and all the other shortlisted pieces by following the link below. They will be on this link until the 31st March and after that will appear in the competition’s Anthology.

My story ‘Forked Tongue’ received a Commendation (I have to keep checking that word to make sure I haven’t typed ‘Condemnation’) and is one of the stories discussed by judge Zoe Strachan in the you tube video which you’ll also find on this link.
